Hi there, my name is Patricia Petro. I am the web designer here at Sweet Solutions.
Much of my time is spent in my office. It’s often difficult for me to tear myself away from my work. My desk area is an organized mess, littered with paper and files. Post-it notes cling to every hard surface. My To Do List is a mile long. I’m busy doing what I love, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
A Bit About the Business—Sweet Solutions is a small, independent web design business based in northwest OH USA. We’ve been designing websites since 2002. The collective “we” sometimes used on this site is technically me, myself, and I—Patricia Petro. I am solely responsible for design and development, client projects, this site’s content, routine maintenance, blog entries, and all things creative. Tom Schmidt, my brilliant IT, handles the tech side of things. He keeps computers, office machines, and software updated and running smoothly. SuzieQ, who prefers to remain anonymous online, sorts through email, does bookkeeping, files paperwork, and offers other part-time assistance and secretarial support. ♥
Are you looking for an honest, creative, talented web designer?
For those who don’t know me, learning a little more might be an important step before hiring me to do custom work.
The gist of who I am is on the right. It will give you a quick glimpse into my personality.
I started designing websites way back in the daze of DOS, when we were all Internet newbies. I taught myself HTML and CSS, then completed several college courses to hone my skills:
- Introduction to XHTML—XHTML markup and basic web page design principles, including hypertext links and graphics as well as the techniques that enhance and facilitate page creation.
- Web Usability and Interface Design—Basic web design principles and human computer interaction (HCI) concepts, including user/task analysis, content organization, navigation, evaluation, color, typography, multimedia, and accessibility.
- Web Imaging—Hands-on experience designing and optimizing web graphics using Photoshop and ImageReady software.
- Internet for Business—The process of using the Internet for business by creating effective, efficient web pages with an emphasis on branding and SEO.
I’ve also taken various other Internet workshops for web design and participated in webinars and industry discussions through the years.
I’m good at what I do. And though I could wax poetic about my passion for web design and the confidence I have in my own abilities, what others have to say is sometimes more important than anything I could tell you.
I would love to bring my energy, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, talents, and technical skills to your project. Browse through my portfolio. If you like my style, you and I might be a perfect fit.
